About Us

Founded in 2001, Kayak Coeur d’Alene was originally an outfitting company doing guided tours on Lake Coeur d’Alene. A retail store was later opened offering sales of kayaks and paddling equipment along with rentals and lessons.

In 2022 the Kayak CdA store was closed and the rental business was sold to new owners Paul and Stephanie Brown. They are Veterans of the US Air Force and longtime residents of the area spending countless hours on the lakes and rivers of North Idaho and Eastern Washington, along with the epic hiking and biking trails throughout the region. They are looking forward to helping people from around the world, as well as local area guests, enjoy the incredible recreation opportunity on the water of North Idaho by servicing their paddling equipment needs. They are also happy to provide recommendations on the vast recreation opportunities in the area.
